The President

Gilles BONNET

Gilles Bonnet, Professor of Modern and Contemporary French Literature, was re-elected President of the University for a four-year term on 7 January 2025.
A former student of the École Normale Supérieure on the rue d’Ulm in Paris, and qualified in Modern Literature, Gilles Bonnet has taught at Jean Moulin University for 23 years, where he also ran the MARGE research laboratory for ten years.

First Vice-President for the Board of Governors, Steering and Digital Strategy from 2021 to 2024, he was initially elected President of Jean Moulin University on 18 June 2024 for a six-month term to complete the mandate of Éric Carpano, who had resigned.
