The Wi-Fi network at the Jean Moulin University Lyon 3 provides internet access from all Lyon campuses during site opening hours.
Wi-Fi coverage
On the Manufacture des Tabacs site, more than 176 Wi-Fi access points provide coverage for the entire site.
On the rue Chevreul and quai Claude Bernard campuses, we have prioritised the "living areas" (55 Wi-Fi access).
Access to suit everyon
How you connect to the Wi-Fi network depends on who you are:
- student at Lyon 3,
- staff at Lyon 3,
- student or staff from another university,
- guest (e.g. visiting professor).
However, everyone has access to the same services, such as internet and email.
Internet mobility with Eduroam
Enjoy Wi-Fi access when you visit other universities.
The Eduroam service aims to offer wireless internet access to students and staff in higher education and research establishments on their trips to other Eduroam member establishments. This service covers most European countries as well as several Asia-Pacific countries.In 2007, around 40 establishments in France, including the University of Lyon 3, were members of Eduroam. Most French establishments will eventually sign up to the service.
Any member (staff or student) of the University of Lyon 3 visiting a Eduroam member university will be able to connect through Wi-Fi using his/her usual username and password, just as at Lyon 3.
