High performance technological tools

Whether you are a student, a teacher or administrative staff, the digital work environment offers a bank of resources to help you work and communicate more efficiently.

Intranets designed for students, teaching staff and administrative staff provide access to a range of information and tools to suit everyone.

Easy and secure access

Accessible from any computer with internet access, these resources are also available via wireless connection on the Manufacture des Tabacs site. More than 230 Wi-Fi access points provide coverage for the whole site, making it easier to work in different places, whilst guaranteeing secure communication.

To access these areas, each member of the university community is provided with a personal login and password.

net3, the student intranet

This particular tool is an ideal partner for students throughout their course, especially useful in terms of course practicalities, email and group work, as well as documentary resources.

From a practical point of view, the intranet is a way of managing course administration on-line, such as printing off certificates and finding out course information (e.g. news, absences, room changes, etc.).

net3 offers a chance to create your own personalised agenda from where you can access  educational and subject news, as well as communal services (e.g. the SCUIO, culture and sport).

The intranet enables students to take an active part in campus life by providing information relating to student activities and subject and cultural associations. These include student project reports, health news, contact details of associations, and organisation and results of student representative elections.

Numerous electronic resources are available on-line, from the Universalis encyclopaedia to the Petit Robert, not to mention thousands of other documents and journal titles.

Finally, net3 opens up possibilities for direct access to the Bureau Virtuel (virtual office).

The Bureau Virtuel

The virtual office, the result of an initiative organised by the Rhône-Alpes region in partnership with the Jean Moulin University, makes various group work tools available to students and teaching staff.

As soon as they are registered, all students will be issued with a personal email address for the virtual office, in the following format: firstname.lastname3@bvra.univ-lyon3.fr. These email addresses will be used by the University to communicate with students throughout the year.

The virtual office also provides a private space for storing documents, as well as communal space that can be shared with other students or with a teacher. This makes it easier to work in groups, organise shared agendas and exchange documents.
